One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. We travelled as two couples and stayed in two 'Captains Cabins'. I do not like bland boring hotels having worked abroad for many years and stayed in many of them. This hotel was definitely not bland. Every where you looked there was something interesting to see, Antique furniture, paintings, wooden ships, masks, carvings and relics. It was like being in a museum. The theme was Lord Nelson and was very well done. The interesting stuff did not compromise the high quality and comfort of the hotel . Rooms were warm, quiet, beds comfortable, bathroom very well equipped. Hifi and TV were good and the service by the hotel staff was exemplary, they were all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was diverse, tasty and excellent! The only thing we could fault was the slight lack of storage for clothes in our room. Location was perfect in Gamla Stan (The old town) , an easy walk to great pubs, restaurants, shops and the Metro which was 5mins away. Getting around the various islands was easy on foot or on the trams, buses and metro. Really lovely city and a perfect hotel to enjoy the trip.

Positive was the reception open for 24 hours. Found hairs in the sink and on my bed. Thin walls - when I bed could head phone vibrating from next room and also strong smell of marijuana wafted through. I arrived at breakfast half an hour before it ended - when I asked did I seat myself the waitress said didn’t reply and just said I’d need to be quick. Scrambled egg was cold and croissant hard. Not impressed when paid so much for room.

Excellent hotel with a maritime theme, antiques on display, refined furniture, and archaeological remains preserved in situ in the breakfast area. Exceptionally clean. Each and every member of the staff was kind, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast that satisfies every need and taste. Comfortable bed and very quiet room. Definitely recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at the Victory Hotel visiting Christmas markets in the area. It is a lovely hotel in a perfect location. Jack Smets at the front desk was absolutely charming, so friendly and helpful. He really made our week special!!! A special hotel that we hope to return to someday. Thank you so much!!!

Great little quirky hotel more like staying in a museum with all the nautical / whaling memorabilia. Possibly the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in . Location the best in the old city and easy walk from airport train
